- Exchange information pertaining to seismology with international agencies.
- Provide assistance in Seismological studies and research in related fields.
- Minimize damages due to earthquakes and associated Tsunamis disasters.
- Provide reliable advisory service to the builders, engineers and planners
- Increase the Safety of marine & inland transportation activities.
- Promote the disaster preparedness and mitigation response system through education, workshops, symposia and discussions on Radio & T.V.
